Juraj Bartakovics is the head of the internationalization department for Slovak Business Agency and representative of the Enterprise Europe Network since its launch in 2008. Juraj has helped numerous SMEs from Slovakia to raise their profile outside of the Slovak market and find them relevant business partners, as well as aiding them with his expertise in cross-border provision of services and posting of workers.

Jitka Rysava

Project Manager, Center for Regional Development of the Czech Republic

Jitka Rysava has been working in the Enterprise Europe Network (and in the previous network) for more than 25 years. She has been dealing with Single Market support services focused especially on companies since 2004, her main expertise has been free movement of services and posting of workers issues. She has managed or participated in both national (supported by the Czech government) and international projects (supported by the European Commission), she was also an international expert in the technical assistance project in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She has published brochures and articles; she has acted as a lecturer, and she has provided targeted consultancy on Single Market issues. She is now acting as the head of the Enterprise Europe Network department in the Center for Regional Development of the Czech Republic, the part of the Czech BISON3T consortium.


John Sigety

John Sigety (jsigety@plattrichmond.com) is senior counsel for Platt Richmond in Dallas, Texas. His practice is primarily focused on representing growing businesses and entrepreneurs in complex business litigation, particularly in the areas of commercial transactions, intellectual property, employment, real estate, and corporate disputes. Platt Richmond is a full-service business law firm, which allows John and his colleagues to help clients on a variety of other legal matters, including entity formation, corporate governance, tax planning, and real estate transactions. John is also an expert on sports law, as he has written extensively on sports law issues for several publications and has appeared as a radio and podcast guest to discuss sports law issues.

John received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and his Juris Doctor degree from Tulane University Law School in New Orleans, Louisiana. He has also spent time in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Austria growing his global network.

Martin Valko

Martin Valko, a native Slovak, is a founding partner of the immigration law firm of Chavez & Valko, LLP, in Dallas, TX. His practice focuses primarily on representing both individual and corporate clients ranging from small businesses and startups to Fortune 500 companies and transnational corporations, including many Slovak businesses in the United States. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Oklahoma City University School of Law and a Master of Laws degree from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. He serves as a legal advisor to the Mexican Consulate General in Dallas and to the Slovak Embassy on U.S. immigration laws and represents the Slovak Republic as its Honorary Consul to Texas.
